10 Instagram Accounts About Fitness That Will Inspire You

Since the New Year is around the corner and many people make their resolutions fitness-based, the gym gets awfully crowded. So, I thought I would feature some great Instagram accounts, many of which work outside the gym on getting a healthier, stronger body. These are fitness gurus that I follow and find inspiring. Maybe you’ll find some challenging new routines or activities that will take you away from the melee that is a gym after January 1. Here are ten Instagram accounts about fitness that will inspire you in your fitness goals:

  1. wlstories – This IG account focuses on success stories and features before and after photos of followers. There are some wonderful stories and images of people who have won the weight loss battle. What I really like about this account is that there is no one way all these people got fit. Instead it features lots of eating plans and fitness routines that have been successful. Extremely inspirational! They also have a Facebook page!
  2. Instagram Accounts About Fitness That Will Inspire You

    brittnebabe – This health coach and fitness expert’s account is chock full of photos and videos of meal prep, fitness gear, and varied routines. Just watching some of her videos left me out of breath. She is in peak physical condition and clearly has a passion for helping people get healthy. She also has a website and blog! I highly recommend this account if you want to fill your feed with inspiring pics and new activities!

    ketokarma – This IG account follows Suzanne, who lost over 90 pounds by adhering to a ketogenic diet. Her feed is motivating and also has yummy foods that are great for carb-cutting dieters. Suzanne also has a website where she blogs and updates her journey in-depth.

  4. fitgirlsfoodz – This account is basically healthy food porn. It is also a great resource  to get ideas about what you want to fix or plan a healthy menu around. Lots of different foods and good coverage of all three daily meals. Don’t browse this account while you’re hungry!
  5. bodyrock


    bodyrock – If you need to mix up your fitness routines, this IG account is a great place to start. There are videos and pics, and they have an awesome website! If you sign up for their newsletter, they send you a new workout each day! They also have routines for people at every level of fitness, beginners included. I highly recommend!

    veganfitnesscom – I haven’t forgot about vegans on this list. This couple became coaches after documenting their journey becoming vegans. Their feed is full of delicious-looking, colorful dishes and tips on how to mix up your menus. They also have an informative website that answers questions about eating vegan as well as general health and fitness information.

  7. ladies_who_lift_ – If you are a lady weightifting enthusiast, this account will give you some inspiration for  your next gym session. This feed is filled with impressive videos and inspiring quotes and memes.
  8. Yoga by Candace

    Yoga by Candace

    yogabycandace – More of a yoga devotee? Yoga by Candace has some great videos on her IG account but she also highlights what else she is doing to stay in great shape. She lifts, does pole fitness, and jumps rope among other things. An inspiring athlete with a lovely collection of photos of her in action. She also has a website and app!

    Kenneth Gallarzo

    progressive_calisthenics – Interested in calisthenics and bodyweight workouts? Kenneth Gallarzo has a collection of impressive videos on this account. Some of these activities include weights and other gym implements and some are utilizing only the weight of his own body. More than one in this feed is likely to blow your mind.

  10. chalenejohnson – Chalene is an extraordinary athlete. It was hard to narrow this list to ten IG accounts, because there are so many inspiring accounts out there. But, Chalene is a beast. I follow her on all social media because her routines are so varied and most of them can be done outside the gym. She is also such a positive role model, that nearly every post inspires me. If you don’t know this Turbo Fire and PiYo creator, you should start on her IG account and get to know her. She is also on Facebook and has a website!
